Geneva Cup
ORGANISER
Today, the Geneva Cup is one of the best international tournaments U-17 football in Europe. The success of this popular event is thanks to the dedication of the SFAIR Association and as well its volunteer members which contribute to this sport and more particularly to the development of Elite training in Geneva.
Based on its values – Satisfaction, Fair Play, Ambition, Integrity, Respect – the SFAIR association offers the canton a benchmark tournament with an international dimension and a very strong regional identity. Our social commitment consists of :
PROMOTING SPORT
The Geneva Cup has a formative role for young players who are, for some of them, a few months away from starting a professional career. Participation in an international tournament of this level is invaluable on both a social and sporting level In particular, it allows Swiss players to measure themselves against and compare themselves with the most prestigious football clubs.
INSPIRING FUTURE GENERATIONS
We expect the participants to behave in an exemplary manner on and off the pitch. They are role models for future generations and must therefore be irreproachable throughout the competition.
ENCOURAGING VOLUNTEERISM
The realisation of an event of this magnitude could not take place without the help of hundreds of volunteers. Communication, initiative and trust are promoted within our association.
WORKING WITH PARTNERS, SPONSORS, ASSOCIATIONS AND PERSONALITIES
Together, we seek to promote football in Geneva with respect. The SFAIR Association strives to build strong links with the various stakeholders, seeking to create synergies and thus continue the positive development of this international tournament.
ENHANCING A COMMON VISION
Through the Geneva Cup, we link up with a personality and/or an association with whom we share a common vision. These collaborations favour the impact of the values we wish to transmit.
TO CARRY OUT A UNIFYING PROJECT
Convinced that football is universal, we preserve the popular image of this sport. We bring people together around this international event, which mainly attracts a regional audience.
